| In 1995, Pano Karatassos began an idea for a modern style tapas restaurant using South Western flavors. He hired kitchen genius Kevin Rathbun to fuse together ingredients to create a very dishes. Rathbun once said that he was not sure if Atlanta was ready for this type of innovative menu - glad that he decided to give it a shot! Nava is one one of the most talked about culinary dining experiences in Atlanta. With adobe-like walls, “Vigas” beams and a fountainside patio - it is easy to forget that you are in the heart of Buckhead. Chef Jess Perez has learned the tricks of the trade since Rathbun ventured on and tempts the palate with dishes like Toasted Corn Pepita-Crusted Red Snapper, The Nava-Spiced Filet Mignon Trio and Housemade Ice Cream and Sorbet Sampler.
