At Nobu, silver-screen legend turned restaurant owner, Robert DeNiro and culinary powerhouse Nobuyuki Matsuhisa joined forces to create the modern Japanese restaurant that now has 21 locations around the world. Tribeca boasts one of the most highly rated and distinctive sashimi platters featuring quail eggs and Chilean sea bass with truffles.
Renowned director and vineyard enthusiast Francis Ford Coppola opened Café Zoetrope in San Francisco, which holds close to his heart and roots, with many delicious Italian dishes that will leave you wanting more! Fans of That 70’s Show can rejoice in Dolce. Owned by Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama and Danny Masterson. Dolce is a hip, young, Italian spot with a warm and welcoming interior, located in Philadelphia. Unlike Coppola’s traditional, Italian fare menu, Dolce serves up some fine authentic flavors with unique flair. You can find items like Tuscan tomato and bread soup, crepes filled with ricotta and tuna tartare and Mango bruschetta on the menu. If you’re looking for southern tradition that has stayed in the south, Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles in Atlanta, GA is where you need to head. Gladys has made a name for herself in the music industry and now the restaurant industry as well. She brought the “Midnight Train to Georgia” during her musical career; now, Knight is bringing the Chicken and Waffle train to the ATL. Her chicken and waffles have had national recognition on multiple Food Network shows and locally has a packed house every week. Their menu item they are most famous for (like we need to tell you…) of course, are the chicken and waffles, which comes from Gladys’ own secret family recipe.
